Getting started with Boost is quick and easy! Before you begin, make sure you have:
✔️ Your Boost SIM serial number (found on the back of the SIM packaging)
✔️ A valid form of ID for verification

You can choose to:

  • Bring your existing number from another provider (just keep your current SIM in your phone until the transfer is complete).

  • Get a new Boost number if you don’t need to transfer your current one.

Steps to activate your Boost Prepaid service:

1️⃣ Go to http://boost.com.au/activate and select ‘Activate Prepaid’.
2️⃣ Enter your SIM serial number (found on the back of your SIM kit).


3️⃣ Choose to keep your existing number or get a new one.
4️⃣ Select your device type (mobile or data-only device).
5️⃣ Enter your ID details for verification.
6️⃣ Provide your contact details.
7️⃣ Choose your Boost plan and recharge amount.
8️⃣ Review everything and click ‘Activate’.

💡 How long does activation take?

  • Most activations happen within 4 hours, but it can take longer.

  • If you’re transferring your number, it will only happen during our operating hours.

How Do I Know When My Boost Service is Activated?

You'll know your Boost service is active when:
✔️ Your service with your previous provider stops working (if you transferred your number).
✔️ You receive a confirmation email or SMS from us.

How to Check If Your Boost SIM is Active:

1️⃣ Insert your Boost SIM into your phone.
2️⃣ Turn your phone off and back on.
3️⃣ If you see ‘Boost’ next to your signal bars, your service is live!

🔄 Still waiting? Try restarting your device every now and then. Most activations happen within a few hours, but some can take longer.
