BOOST MOBILE

Changes to #111#

#111# will close by 30 May 2024.

We’re phasing out the #111# recharge option.

This move allows Telstra to grow and improve delivery of next generation 5G technology – improving our service for you.

There's more than one way to recharge your device

Whether you have a smartphone or not, we offer a range of other ways to recharge and manage your prepaid service.

Frequently asked questions

Boost Mobile uses the full coverage of the Telstra mobile network. On 31 August 2024, Telstra is closing the oldest mobile technology, 3G, and repurposing it to expand the faster 5G network.

#111# uses the 3G network, so we’re introducing new ways to recharge and check your balance to replace this.

When the Telstra 3G network closes, you’ll need a 4G or 5G compatible device to continue using your prepaid service. If your device is impacted, you’ll receive communications from us. Learn more about 3G closure.

If you don't have a smartphone, you can recharge your service by:

  • Free call 125 100 from your Boost Mobile device (card payments only)
  • Recharging on the Boost Mobile website

As our new recharge options become available, we'll reach out to customers who use #111# with updates, including how to access and use them. We'll also update our website with developments.

To recharge by phone, you’ll need to call from your Boost Mobile service and have caller ID turned on.

If you have caller ID switched off, and you’re using a private number, you’ll receive an error message. You’ll need to hang up, switch called ID on and call back again.

You can enable caller ID for this call only by dialling *31# then 125 100. If you want to switch caller ID on permanently, you can do this via the settings on your phone.

You may also find it handy to switch to speaker on your phone so you can put the phone down and use the number pad while you listen to the prompts.

It’s crucial for everyone to ensure they have a 4G/5G VoLTE capable and compatible device before 30th June 2024. We also have more information about enabling VoLTE (Voice over LTE) on your mobile phone.
