What’s a prepaid phone plan and how does it work?
A prepaid phone plan is a phone service that you pay for upfront. Boost Mobile prepaid plans include generous data allowance, 4G and 5G network access, unlimited standard national calls and texts, unlimited international calls and texts, and data rollover.
What’s the difference between prepaid and postpaid plan?
The main difference between a prepaid phone plan and a postpaid phone plan is when a payment for the plan is made. Payment for prepaid phone plans is made upfront before the service is provided, while payment for postpaid phone plans is made at the end of the billing period, usually on a monthly basis. Expiry times for prepaid and postpaid phone plans may also differ. Prepaid plans offer more flexibility, with short-term 7-day plans to 12-month long expiry prepaid plans. Other than these three key differences, both phone plans typically offer similar services such as unlimited calls, included data, and allocated time for international calls.
Are prepaid phone plans a good idea?
Prepaid phone plans are a great idea! With prepaid you pay upfront so you're never caught off-guard with a nasty bill.
Does Boost Mobile have a $49 plan?
Yes, Boost Mobile does have a $49 prepaid mobile plan. Our $49 plan includes plenty of data, unlimited national calls and texts, unlimited standard international calls and texts, as well as data rollover to use in your next recharge (if you recharge before expiry).
How much data in 65GB?
65GB of mobile data is enough for most users. It covers around:
- 65 hours of standard video streaming
- 325 hours of streaming music
- Extensive web browsing and social media use
For general usage, 65GB is more than enough to get you through the month! If you're a fan of online gaming, you may need more data to cover game downloads and updates, but not necessarily for gameplay itself.
Switch to data saver mode in apps like Spotify or opt for a lower video quality on YouTube and streaming services to save data and stretch your allowance further.
With Boost Mobile, you can track your data usage to make the most of your plan.
